A Brighter Day Youth Work Program : The true work of A Brighter Day Youth program– the heart of what we do – lies fittingly at the center of our weekly program ( Alive and Free, Leadership training and life skills classes ).Positive youth development can be summed up as positive experiences with positive relationships in positive environments. Through (ABDYP), youth can engage in a wide variety of learning experiences, develop strong relationships and support networks, build a portfolio of transferrable skills, and prepare for lifelong employability success. We have a great time getting together every Saturday, we laugh, we’ve cried, we’ve played, we’ve hang out, go to the movies, football / basketball, baseball games, Santa Cruz as well as our annual snow trip .Common sense tells us that if the youth are busy with productive activities, they are less likely to become a victim of a crime, or engage in dangerous activities. The short answer is, "Keep them busy.
